Cornwall Music Festival of Music and Speech is a performing arts organisation run entirely by volunteers and is registered with the Charity Commission (Charity Number 287828) It is a member of the British and International Federation of Festivals. This Privacy Statement explains how we use any personal information we collect about you.
What Information Do We Collect About You?
We only collect such information about you as is necessary for the running of the festival, such as where entries are made, requests to become patrons, details of accompanists and volunteers. We do not collect sensitive information unless such information is necessary, for example to cater for individual needs in entrants to the festival or where there is a legal requirement to do so.
How Will We Use the Information About You?
We collect information about you in order to process your entry to the festival, keep you updated about your entry and send you information about the festival, including where appropriate paper copies of syllabi and programmes. Data is stored on password protected computers; where hard copies of data are stored, they are stored in a secure place. Access to data is restricted to the personnel who administer the festival.
Please note that we use the third-party Play and Perform system to administer entries. They hold the data on our behalf so please also refer to the Play and Perform data protection policy and terms of use.
Legal Basis
Personal data will not be collected and processed without your unconditional consent or where there is a legitimate interest.
Access To Your Data and Correction
Everyone has a right to know what data we hold about them and this information can be requested from the General Secretary (lhendry194@gmail.com).We want to make sure that the information we hold about you is correct and up to date; you can ask to have your data removed or amended at any time.
Retention of Data
Data may be retained according to the Festival’s Data Protection Policy, which may be found on our website(www.cornwallmusicfestival.co.uk)or by application to the General Secretary (as above).
Do We Share This Information With Anyone Else?
The festival will not pass collected data to any third party unless required to do so by law. It should be noted, however, that competitor’s names will be printed in the programme. If you do not wish this to happen you must make it clear when you submit your entry.
Play and Perform and online entries
When you use Play and Perform secure online entry system you will be directed to a specialist supplier company who will receive your information to process the payment. We do not retain any banking details.
